BOARD OF EDUCATION GOALS 2022-2024

Our Educational Philosophy

The North Collins Central School District exists to provide an education that allows our students to reach their full potential. To that end, students must receive an education that promotes their intellectual growth through the mastery of facts, timeless knowledge, concepts, and principles of subject matter, and that will promote independent decision making through the acquisition of critical thinking skills.

We believe in the importance of education. We believe that our community plays a significant and positive role in that education. We consider our district size to be an asset, allowing us to offer an environment ideal for personal development. We recognize the potential of all of our students to be successful in life. We are committed to providing the resources to students and staff necessary to achieve this success. We will assess our progress and recognize achievement. Commitment to our district goals is paramount.

The North Collins Central School District and the Board of Education value the public educational process that permits exposure to a diversity of ideas, presented by dedicated teachers and staff in a safe and secure environment, enhancing the opportunity for each student to become a successful and contributing community member. We value integrity, commitment, and citizenship as fundamental to personal character.

The North Collins Central School District and the Board of Education will make decisions based on data, fact, and adherence to our philosophy. Fundamental to a quality education are people who are dedicated, motivated, energetic, and well prepared, who possess integrity and who support a collaborative work ethic. We will provide, maintain, and develop an environment that supports exemplary teaching and learning.
